If you would like to get involved in an IOF proposal and are looking for funding options as a participant from a developing country please note that some of the countries involved will have possibilities for this (see information below). If you are from a non-Belmont Forum or FACCE-JPI country and have or can obtain your own funding, you are encouraged to participate and the proposal forms are set up to incorporate such collaboration.

France/ANR Support for Participation from Developing Countries:
In this programme, some research expenses (as capacity and community building, co-supervision of doctoral or post-doctoral researchers…) for partners from Least Developed Countries (https://www.un.org/development/desa/dpad/wp-content/uploads/sites/45/publication/ldc_list.pdf; also see below) may be presented in the form of service delivery to a French partner of the project.
It should be explicit in the proposal:
- Foreign partner should outline precisely what part is supported by national support and what is asked for ANR support;
- The administrative information of the foreign partner should be completed;
- The financial support request of the foreign partner should be associated to a sub-contract with a French partner (in practice, the subcontract sum should be declared within the financial request of the associated French partner, and not within the foreign partner - just put “0” in the on-line system);
- The request for total foreign support could not exceed 50% of the total project support.
