FACCE ERA-GAS is organising the 2nd Research Programme Meeting (RPM) & Valorisation Workshop, a Summer School and a Consortium Meeting on 12-13-14 June 2019 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. These ERA-GAS meetings will be in parallel and integrated in the 8th International Symposium on Non-CO2 Greenhouse Gases (NCGG8) “Global Challenges and Local Solutions”. Together with the organisers of NCGG8, an interesting itinerary for ERA-GAS consortium partners, researchers and stakeholders is planned, incorporating plenary sessions, parallel sessions, workshops, networking opportunities and an exciting excursion. The objective of the NCGG8 is to bring together scientists, experts, decision makers and stakeholders in the field of Climate Change with a view of supporting the development of efficient and effective technologies and policies aimed at decreasing the radiative forcing due to non-CO2 greenhouse gases and indirect gases and aerosols. Around 300 participants are expected to attend this international symposium.

The FACCE ERA-GAS 2nd Research Programme Meeting on 12 June brings together coordinators and partners of the 10 research projects funded through the first FACCE ERA-GAS call in 2016, as well as funders and stakeholders. FACCE ERA-GAS consortium members will meet at the Consortium Meeting to be organised on 13 June. For early career researchers, the FACCE ERA-GAS Summer School, planned for 12-13-14 June, offers an invaluable opportunity for learning and networking during dedicated sessions at the NCGG8, discussing GHG methodologies and inventory development with leading scientists and benefitting from interactive sessions focussed on career development and funding opportunities. For this Summer School, approximately 20 places are available and grants are available for excellent researchers. Guidelines for submitting an application will be provided through the FACCE ERA-GAS website.
